There Once Was a Puffin, by Florence P. Jaques, illustrated by Laura McGee Kvasnosky, Spring 1995, Dutton. Ages 2 to 6. This poem by the Canadian writer was a childhood favorite of Laura’s, and was given new life in a board book to be read aloud or by early readers.
